Burn, Baby, Burn

First day back to the gym. After four months of hiatus from everything, I think it’s the best time to start going back to getting fit on the first day of October. Two months of burning calories would be enough to lose some so I can take in lots from the countless Christmas feasts waiting for me back home. Teehee!

A new class opened today: Body Combat!

BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYCOMBAT™ class is produced every three months with new music and choreography. (Source:

Kinda had a hard time catching up due to the long hiatus. But I gotta say I enjoyed the class. I love the kicking parts. I just hope the instructor has a more systematic flow of his routine. Let’s start burning 737 calories every Monday. 🙂

No Pain, No Gain

I finally got the drive to work on trimming down my body. I joined Aerobics, Body Pump and Belly Dancing. 1 hour a day won’t be a lot but I will work on it.

I don’t really plan to have a skinny body. I just want to get rid of the excess and feel good about myself. I need some major boost in confidence. I want my old body back. >_<

I’m enjoying it. It feels good to sweat out the events of the day. First week was fine but this week’s belly dancing got through me and I’m sore all over. I just hope the pain will be worth it. I pray that I make it through.

Tomorrow morning is Yoga day. I hope I’ll find the drive to get up on a lazy Saturday morning.

I stumbled upon an article which is funny but very informative…
