After being postponed a number of times, our field trip finally happened. It was my first field trip in this school and I am not expecting too much because I handle the baby class.
We left the school at around 8:30 – 9:00 in the morning. The bus was so big for our group of 32 (13 kids, 14 moms and nannies, me and 3 assistant teachers, 1 school maid), that some kids kept on standing and moving from one seat to another. But two girls made my heart swell…
Ancol was quite far from the school and because of the heavy traffic, it took us more than an hour before we reached the place. Nonetheless, it wasn’t a boring ride for me as I have my pretty little doll beside me. We were playing and laughing the entire drive to Ancol.
Of course, the necessary photo-op was done before we could start our planned activities. And as we all know, taking pictures of restless kids is a great challenge.
We just couldn’t get everyone to look at the camera!
We started off with fish feeding. They find it so awesome that the fishes are almost jumping onto each other just to get food.
We went for a boat ride.
The kids also enjoyed feeding the deer.
We also had them ride bikes just for photo-ops.
So, that was it. Boring, you might say, but it was my first time there. I was with the kids and that in itself made it fun. I’ve also seen how much they enjoyed it. We’re done by 11:30 and arrived in school at 1:00 p.m. It was scorching hot when we arrived and all throughout the tour in Ancol but it rained when we were going home…really something to be thankful for as we might not have enjoyed it as much if it rained early.
